Hunters chicken

This is such a simple dinner to make and a lot cheaper than buying this from the shop. The bbq sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in a fridge, alternatively you can buy shop bought sauce if you’re short of time.

Serving Suggestions for Hunter’s Chicken

  • BBQ dipping sauces or extra melted cheese on the side
  • Skin‑on fries or chunky chips
  • Creamy mashed potatoes or buttery new potatoes
  • Crispy potato wedges with smoked paprika
  • Corn on the cob with BBQ or garlic butter
  • Coleslaw — classic creamy, apple‑slaw, or smoky BBQ slaw
  • Baked beans for a proper pub‑style plate
  • Garlic bread or cheesy garlic baguette
  • Roasted vegetables — peppers, onions, courgettes
  • Green beans or tenderstem broccoli with a little butter
  • Mixed leaf salad with ranch or honey‑mustard dressing
  • Mac and cheese for an indulgent side

Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breast
  • 8 rashers smoked bacon
  • 200 ml BBQ sauce (shop bought or homemade)
  • 100 g grated cheese

Instructions
 

  • If you're using homemade BBQ, follow the recipe here : BBQ Sauce
  • Preheat the oven to 180c°
  • Wrap 2 rashers of bacon around each chicken breast, place in a shallow dish and cook in the oven for around 25mins or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Spoon the BBQ sauce over the chicken breasts, sprinkle with grated cheese and place back in the oven for another 10mins or until the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and serve with chips or little roast potatoes.
