Make up the pizza dough according to the packet instructions, but do not cook yet.
On a floured surface, knead the dough for 5mins, or until smooth and elastic. Transfer to a clean bowl, cover with a damp cloth and leave in a warm place to rise for approx 10mins or doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 220ºC/Gas 7 and line a tray with baking paper.
Divide the dough into 12 equal sized pieces and flatten each one. In the middle of each flattened ball, add a dollop of tomato puree and spread. Sprinkle each with a little oregano, salt and pepper. Add a pinch of cheese and a couple of slices of pepperoni on top.
Bring the dough up around the filling to encase the filling, pinching the sides and shaping into a ball.
Place each ball on the baking tray and brush the beaten egg over each. Place in the oven and bake for around 12-15mins until golden and risen. Serve immediately.
