Homemade pizza

Ingredients
  

Pizza dough

  • 2 tbsp olive oil, plus extra for brushing on the baking trays
  • 200 g strong bread flour (or all purpose flour), extra for sprinkling on the work surface
  • 1 sachet of fast-action yeast
  • pinch of salt
  • 130 ml warm water

Pizza base

  • 250 g passata
  • ¼ tsp onion granules
  • ¼ tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tbsp oregano

Pizza toppings

  • Ball mozzarella, drained and cut into small cubes
  • Grated cheese
  • Basil and oregano, sprinkled on top
  • Toppings of your choice - suggestion below

Instructions
 

  • Brush 2 baking trays with oil and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add the flour, yeast and salt. Make a well in the centre, pour in the water and oil and with a metal spoon mix together to create a dough.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for around 5mins. Divide the dough into 2, place on the baking trays, brush a little oil over the top, cover with cling film and leave to rise for around 30mins.
  • To make the pizza base, put all the ingredient in a bowl, mix together and set aside.
  • Once the dough has risen, preheat the oven to 200c / Gas 6.
  • Roll each dough ball out thinly to form 2 rounds circles. Spread some of the pizza base over the bases, then cover with the toppings of your choice.
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for 15mins, or until pizza is golden, crisp and cooked through.

  • Hawaiian : Mozzarella, cheese, ham and pineapple
  • Pepperoni : Mozzarella, cheese, pepperoni and chorizo
  • Vegetarian : Mozzarella, cheese, sliced ,tomatoes, mixed peppers, sweetcorn, onion, mushroom
  • Ham and mushroom : Mozzarella, cheese, ham and mushroom
  • All day breakfast : Mozzarella, cheese, fried bacon, grilled sausages (sliced), mushrooms,
