BBQ slow cooked beef brisket buns
Tender slow‑cooked BBQ beef brisket with smoky, rich sauce, perfect for effortless weekend feasts and comforting family dinners.

- 1 kg Beef brisket
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 200 ml bbq sauce
- 200 ml beef stock
- 4 tbsp soft brown sugar
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp Worcester sauce
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper
- 4 brioche buns
Cut the beef joint into two pieces.
Heat a frying pan with the olive oil and sear on all sides. Place in the slow cooker along with the chopped onions.
In a mixing jug, add the remaining ingredients and stir together. Pour over the beef and onions and cool for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
Remove the meat from the slow cooker, shred the meat with two forks. Mix the beef with the sauce and serve on toasted buns, salad and coleslaw.
