large onion, finely sliced

garlic paste

dark brown sugar

english mustard

worcestershire sauce

paprika

smoked paprika

coarsely ground black pepper

white wine vinegar
Spicy BBQ sauce

cayenne pepper or a couple of dashes of hot pepper sauce
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the vegetable and gently fry the onions until soft.
Add all the remaining ingredients and stir until all the sugar has dissolved.
Pour the sauce into a blender and blend until the mixture is smooth, return to the sauce and gently simmer for another 5-10mins.
Leave to cool and transfer to an airtight jar and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks. If you're not going to use it all, it can be frozen.
